If you would like to submit a tutorial proposal for a technical subject not included in the list above please submit a proposal for your suggested topic and indicate how your tutorial relates to the symposium and would benefit potential tutorial attendees. It is imperative that the level of a tutorial matches the attendees’ expectations. The proposed tutorial should fit the time allotted.

Tutorial presenters may want to indicate a backup arrangement in the event they cannot present the tutorial themselves.

POLICIES
Compensation Policy: The compensation/remuneration per tutorial is US $ 700. The compensation is per tutorial, thus multiple presenters will share the compensation. Tutorial presenters will also receive free conference registration for the HOTI ’08 Symposium. Presenters will not be paid, in full or partially, for cancelled tutorials. Although presenters will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements, they might be considered for receiving travel financial assistance, if determined by the HOTI ’08 committee.
Cancellation Policy: HOTI ’08 committee reserves the right to cancel a tutorial should there be inadequate attendance, for instance, less than 5 persons registered for the tutorial, as of the cancellation date listed below. The HOTI ’08 committee reserves also the right to cancel the tutorial for any other reason, by the cancellation date, although every effort will be taken to notify the speaker prior to that date should that be warranted.
The Symposium will provide the necessary audio-visual equipment for delivering the tutorials. Accepted tutorial speakers will be requested to provide their tutorial material to be printed and distributed to the registered tutorial attendees, according to the dates below.

Tutorial date: August 26, 2008, 3 pm – 7 pm
Note that the submission and notification process will be ongoing: tutorial speaker positions may be filled (and thus presenters notified) as soon as proposals are received and evaluation is successful. Therefore, tutorial submissions are strongly encouraged prior to the submission date.
